6:30 PM – Scratch Level 2 – Allison

Today we:

1. Finished coding the Checkout sprite
2. Finished the Shopping Cart project
3. Started the How Old Are You? project
4. Coded the Cat sprite to ask what the player’s name is, and stored the answer in a variable

Important Reminders:

1. After you finish your homework in Scratch, send an email to allison@ayclogic.com by Monday at 8 PM. In that email, write down your name and a link to your shared Scratch project homework. Make sure to share your Scratch project.

Homework:

1. Cassie: Click on this link (Shopping Cart Project Answers) to check your Shopping Cart codes. Add or correct any codes in your project as needed.
2. Christian: Add the codes in the picture below to check last week’s homework review in your Shopping Cart project
3. Everyone:
   1. In your “How Old Are You?” project:
   2. Code the Cat to say “Hello <name>, welcome to AYCLogic!”
      1. Hint: you will have to use two join codes
      2. Examples:
         • If the player answered their name is “Jane”, the Cat will say:
           • “Hello Jane, welcome to AYCLogic!”
         • If the player answered their name is “Bob”, the Cat will say:
           • “Hello Bob, welcome to AYCLogic!”
   3. Code the Cat sprite to ask what the player’s age is, and store the answer in a variable called “age”
