4 PM – Scratch Level 1

Today we:

1. Coded the game to keep track of the best score, as well as the name of the person who has the best score
2. Learned how to change the music’s volume
3. Created new costumes for the Tunnel sprite
4. Randomized which costume will be used for the Tunnel sprite when the Green Flag is clicked
5. Edited any bugs
6. Finished the Tunnel of Doom project
7. Introduced the Window Cleaners project

Homework Pt. 1

Create a new Scratch project and title it “Practice 1 – Moving”

• 1. In this project, code the Cat sprite to start at the right edge when the Green Flag is clicked and make it move/walk all the way to the left. Make sure it has a walking animation (hint: switch costumes)
  2. Code a Bat sprite to start at the top edge when the Green Flag is clicked and make it move/fly all the way to the bottom. Make sure it has a flying animation (hint: switch costumes)
  3. Note: do not use the code “glide”
