6:30 PM – Scratch Level 1 – Allison

Today We:

1. Finished the Ask Gobo project
2. Started the Name Animation project
3. Coded one sprite to change colors and play a sound effect when the sprite is clicked
4. Coded another sprite to forever spin to the right when the sprite is clicked

Important Reminders Pt. 1:

1. There are new homework rules. After you finish your homework in Scratch, you have to send an email the night before the day of the class.
2. Since our class is on Tuesday, send an email to allison@ayclogic.com by Monday at 8 PM. In that email, write down your name and a link to your shared Scratch project homework. Make sure to share your Scratch project.

Important Reminders Pt. 2:

1. To celebrate Thanksgiving, the school will be closed from Monday 11/21 – Sunday 11/27. There is no class next week. Our next class will be on Tuesday 11/29. Make sure to send your homework by Monday 11/28 8 PM.

Homework:

1. Print out this picture on paper (click here to see the picture) for your next project. Ask your parents, guardians, or family for help if needed. 
2. Add the next sprite (it should be the third letter of your name). Code the sprite to forever spin to the left and change colors when the sprite is clicked.
3. Add the next sprite (it should be the fourth letter of your name. Code two special effects to happen when the sprite is clicked.
   1. You can add any special effects you want as long as it is not the same as the other sprites. (Ex: you can add ghost effect, add whirl effect, add sound effect, or other effects).
4. Add a background. My project uses the “Boardwalk” background, but you can use any background you want.
